Exploring Bournemouth beach and beyond

I grew up a few miles to east of Bournemouth, just over the county border in south west Hampshire. So a trip to Bournemouth feels like a trip home for me, even though I no longer have family in the area. Since the pandemic we’ve only traveled to England a couple of times, and for my husband and son the UK is a foreign country.

So it’s nice to bring them back to a place every few years that has meaning for me and build memories and connections for my son to my “home”. Besides, the south coast generally gets the best weather in the UK and while I enjoy the cooler air, I always want to maximise the potential for sunshine!

All of which is to explain why, as well as visiting family in other parts of the country, and spending time in London for Mr K’s work, we also spent a few days down south this summer. So come with us for a walk (or several) along the beach and enjoy the views and the sunshine in Bournemouth.
